2kg Buff Willow Sticks (Withies) for Wreaths, Lanterns & Sculpture

Craft & Lantern Willow Withy Sticks are ideal for creating lanterns, sculptures, Christmas wreaths and 3D craft projects. This 2kg bundle provides natural willow for artists, schools and craft groups working on creative projects and seasonal decorations.

Buff willow is smooth and sturdy, making it suitable for lantern frameworks, wreath bases and sculptural shapes. For lantern and sculpture projects, secure your framework with masking tape, florist wire or gaffer tape, then cover with wet strength tissue paper.

• Length: Approximately 5ft–6ft (1.5–1.8m) per stick
• Bundle size: 2kg (around 100 withies per bundle)
• Thickness: Naturally tapered from around 1cm to a fine flexible tip
• Material: 100% natural buff willow
• Grown in: The UK – sustainably sourced
• Ideal for: Lantern making, sculpture, 3D modelling and Christmas wreath crafting

For straight frameworks and gentle bends, the willow can be used without soaking. For tighter curves, circles and wreath bases, soak the rods before shaping and allow them to rest until pliable. Our reusable Willow Soaking Bag provides a convenient way to prepare your withies.

Buff Willow for Christmas Wreath Making

Create a natural base for your Christmas wreath with these buff willow sticks. Decorate your willow frame with evergreen foliage, pine cones, dried orange slices and ribbon. Leave some of the warm-toned willow exposed for a rustic finish, or cover the frame for a fuller festive look.
