Willow Sticks

Shop UK-grown buff willow sticks for lantern making, sculptures and Christmas wreaths. Also known as withies, these smooth, natural rods provide the framework for parade creations, 3D art projects and decorative wreath bases.

Choose our 2kg willow bundle for smaller projects or our 5kg willow bundle for larger builds, schools and craft workshops. The sticks measure approximately 5–6ft (1.5–1.8m) long.

For lanterns and sculptures, combine your willow framework with wet strength tissue paper. For Christmas wreath making, use the willow to create a natural base for greenery, pine cones, dried oranges and ribbon.

Willow can be used dry for straight frameworks and gentle bends. For circles, wreath bases and tighter curves, soak before shaping. Our reusable Willow Soaking Bag makes preparation convenient.
