More about Large Wet Strength Tissue Paper
Our Large Wet Strength Tissue Paper measures 55 × 70 cm per sheet, giving you plenty of coverage for lantern making, willow structures, sculpture, model making and other larger projects.
Unlike ordinary tissue paper, wet strength tissue is designed to retain its structure when glue, paste, paint or water is applied. That makes it particularly useful when covering three-dimensional frames or building up layered surfaces.
The white tissue becomes beautifully translucent when illuminated, which is why it is widely used for lanterns and light-based sculptural work. It is also acid-free, making it suitable for a broad range of creative applications.

I am amazed at the strength of this very floaty light paper. Absolutely class paper 😍
Great quality tissue paper, and lovely colours, which I layered up for even more subtle colours and to add strength for flower making. Great service too, with very prompt delivery after ordering. Thank you!
Great paper and good advice. Thankyou
Ordered twice now and each time despatch and delivery was very quick. The paper is great for our community lantern making sessions.
We’re building lanterns for our 5th Light festival. The lanterns built using wet strength paper from Carnival stand the test of time - where other tissue paper does not. Don’t skimp!
I love using this wet strength tissue paper in my artwork. I print, draw and paint on it with inks or acrylics and use pieces from these papers to layer in collaged paintings. It stands up to everything I throw at it!
